Blogging From A to Z Challenge: Johnny Jump Up

Today's episode of the Blogging From A to Z Challenge is all about alcohol! Whoooooohooooooo!

I'm not a huge drinker. I went through a phase where I was going to lots of parties and drank my fair share. Or more. I've had a few hangovers. I very rarely drink any more but there's still one beverage that I adore. Hard cider.

My favorite brand is Woodchuck. It was the first cider that I had and it's the one that I return to. I have a few in the fridge right now actually. I might motivate myself to go get one.

I actually got started drinking cider because I stopped at the liquour store on my way to a party. I was going to just grab some vodka and be on my way, but earlier in the day I had been listening to the Brobdingnagian Bards on my iPod. I had "Johnny Jump Up" stuck in my head. Since it's about cider, I bought a 6-pack. So I leave you with this video of Marc Gunn (half of the Brobdingnagian Bards) singing the song.

P.S. I did go grab one of my Woodchuck's from the fridge. Slainte!

    1. Judy - I know! They're a really pretty shade of green. More than once I've considered keeping the bottles to use as vases.

  2. Oh wow...I used to drink Woodchuck! Forgot all about them and how yummy it is. Too bad me and alcohol just do not mix anymore. Bummer!

  3. My first drink was a Fuzzy Navel and that's still one of my favorites. I've never liked ciders, beers, ales, etc., I'm more into the mixed drinks and shots. Of course, without my gallbladder I find alcohol and I don't get along as well as we used to. :(

    1. Heather- I've never had a fuzzy navel. I like vodka too. Plain with cranberry juice or flavored with sprite.

    1. Catherine - this is the first post I've written about alcohol, generally my blog is bland enough for the underage crowd.
