Nothing against the public library, but I have to own books. A book just isn't as enjoyable to read if I know I have to give it back. My current library is housed on four bookshelves but I've always dreamed of having a really impressive library.
My dream library would be two stories tall with a balcony. Spiral staircases. And those really awesome ladders that roll along the wall. And tons of comfy reading chairs, couches and chaises. A lot like the library in Beauty and the Beast.
You named all the aspects of my dream library. I would add one more: an automatic dust-eliminating system.
