Blogging From A to Z Challenge: Volkswagen Super Beetle

Alright. This should get me back on track. Today I'm supposed to be posting the letter V in the Blogging From A to Z Challenge.

I knew right away what mine would be. Volkswagens! My first car was a 1972 Volkswagen Super Beetle. I really miss that car. I don't have any pictures of it so here's a picture of a very pretty Beetle.

Someday I'll own another Super Beetle. Because they just have more personality than any other car. I also have fallen in love with VW Buses watching the Barrett-Jackson auctions. When they're restored, they're as beautiful as the Bug. And have just as much personality. See?

VW's are awesome.

  1. Nice post! Love VW's. Never had one but I think they're super cool. My dream car...hate to admit this..is a mini cooper. Used to be a BMW and I still wouldn't turn one away, but the minis have captured my heart. :)

    1. I like mini-coopers but I don't love them. I do however adore Smart cars. I want one so bad and already have it's name picked out. My nephew and I had a discussion about smart cars the other day. Haha

  2. I am a Ford girl, but I would totally drive a VW bus!!! I'd drive that over a mini-van any day!!

    Great choice of topic!

    1. Yes! Buses are way cooler than mini-vans! And it would be PERFECT for a road trip.

  3. The band teacher in my high school had the bus - red with white curtains. So freaking cool!

  4. Oh, I'm so jealous! I always wanted a Beetle! When I was little and the family was on the road to relatives' houses at Christmastime I would count all the red and green bugs I saw on the freeways. There were lots of them back then; I am old! But it must be something in the blood that got passed on to my youngest son - he would almost kill for the bus you've pictured! He's always wanted one! Closest he's come is a metal wall-hanging of the front of one of them, decked out in full flower-power regalia! Wonderful pick for "V"!!! Visiting from A to Z, obviously, and now following! Blog on and finish strong.

    1. Elaine- Awesome. I have a small collection of beetle figurines. No wall hangings though.
